SOT Coffee Roaster runs a two floor space near Otemae, close enough to Osaka Castle's moat that the walk over makes for a natural pairing. The shop buys and roasts its own raw beans rather than sourcing already roasted green, working single origin lots into pour over and espresso across a room that leans Nordic in its restraint.

The pour over service is the shop's real signature, brewed once and then served both hot and cold from the same batch so a customer can taste how the cup changes as it cools rather than choosing one or the other upfront. Basque cheesecake sits alongside the coffee menu as a genuine draw of its own, a second reason regulars keep coming back.
