Sloth Coffee Roasters Nakatsu

Ganu Park moved from Korea to Osaka and opened Sloth Coffee Roasters Nakatsu on October 16, 2023, the brand's second Kansai shop after the original Motomachi location in Kobe. The Nakatsu room runs a La Marzocco KB90 for espresso and a Stronghold S7X roaster for its own beans, aiming for a cleaner, lighter cup than a lot of the darker roasting still common around Osaka.

Park placed second in the 2024 Ambessa Japan Roast Competition, and that same attention to roast profile shows up cup to cup here. The tiramisu draws nearly as much attention as the coffee itself, a reminder that Sloth built its reputation on the full cafe experience rather than pour over technique alone.
