Brooklyn Roasting Company Namba

Brooklyn Roasting Company opened its Namba location in 2016, bringing the direct trade sourcing the New York roastery built its name on since 2009 to a large room tucked under the elevated Nankai Koya Line tracks in Naniwa Ward. The space is big by Osaka cafe standards, more than fifty seats spread across communal tables and window counters, finished in the same concrete, iron and reclaimed wood the Brooklyn original is known for.

A full kitchen runs breakfast and lunch alongside the coffee menu, and the counter sells bagged beans and branded merchandise for anyone who wants to take the roastery home. It is as much a place to camp out for a few hours with a laptop as it is a quick coffee stop, helped along by the kind of seating count that is hard to find at Osaka's smaller specialty counters.
