Laban Kaffebar

Tilde Emilie Heilmann, a 25 year old student, opened Laban Kaffebar in early July 2024 near the theater district, building the shop's identity around Blind Coffee, a social enterprise roaster that creates job opportunities for people with visual impairments. The house beans come from the Cerrado Mineiro region of Brazil, poured with tasting notes of chocolate, nuts, and a hint of citrus.

The room has become popular with Odense's student crowd since opening, priced accessibly and run without the more elaborate brewing menu some of the city's other specialty shops lean on. It won Best Coffee Bar at Smagprisen 2025, Odense's local food and drink award, ahead of both Kaffeværket and Analog.
