Three Legged Cat

Three Legged Cat is a neighborhood cafe in East Williamsburg named after Pirate, founder Leeor's three legged cat. Pirate was born with four legs in a Bronx cat colony and broke her own leg to get free when she got stuck in a fence, and after the leg was amputated she was put up for adoption. Leeor knew the two were a match, and in 2021 met Adelaide while working in coffee on the Jersey Shore, where the pair quietly dreamed of a shop of their own.
The room is relaxed and a little silly, with big windows, soft chairs and shelves of books, and the coffee comes from a rotating list of independent roasters that has included Loveless, Obscure, Botz, A Matter of Concrete and DAK. The cafe also hosts occasional events such as AeroPress takeovers and tastings, and is open every day from eight in the morning to six in the evening.
