Sweetleaf Coffee Roasters

Sweetleaf opened in 2008 as a single small coffee bar and grew into a small group of shops around the city, earning a reputation as one of the first New York cafes to sell Stumptown coffee and as Queens' first dedicated pour over bar. This Jackson Avenue location, at the foot of the Pulaski Bridge, roasts its own coffee, running named single origins and blends like Colombia Paola Trujillo alongside a rotating Roaster's Choice.

The bar like atmosphere is built around serious coffee prepared with precise technique, and the room includes a main bar, a record room, a small area for working on a laptop and an outdoor bench. Long Island City has grown up around it since 2008, but the counter still runs on the same exacting approach it opened with.
