Passionfruit Coffee

The Passionfruit Coffee dining room with a green crane wallpaper wall, round marble tables, wooden stools and a large plant by the window

Passionfruit is a bright corner cafe in Bedford Stuyvesant, easy to spot from its green wall of white cranes and dragonflies. Inside there are marble topped tables, a long bench and a big plant by the window, so it feels more like a living room than a counter. The owners, Taylor and Chloe, are a married couple from the Pacific Northwest who bonded over coffee and hospitality, and they wanted a welcoming, relaxed space that fits the neighborhood.

The coffee comes from DOMA Coffee Roasting Company, a family owned roaster in Post Falls, Idaho, and the small case of pastries and cakes baked for the cafe draws on Taylor's pastry training at the Culinary Institute of America. There is a spot to work with outlets nearby, and it opens every day from eight to five.
