Loveless Coffees

The cream painted brick corner building of Loveless Coffees at Central Avenue and Jefferson Street with a striped awning and small tables on the sidewalk

Loveless takes its name from the My Bloody Valentine album its founding team listened to while learning coffee as baristas in New York. It roasts its own coffees in Brooklyn on a Loring Falcon in what it calls a New York Nordic style, light to medium and aimed at clarity, sweetness and structure, and it buys from independent and small scale farmers, publishing the import prices behind its coffees.

The cafe on Central Avenue is bright and playful, with a pink tiled bar, arched mirrors, colorful small tables and plenty of plants. A Slow Bar of featured espresso and pour over coffees sits next to a classic espresso menu, and breakfast and lunch are served every day. Shelves near the door hold brewing gear and merch as well as boxed beans, and the cafe is open from eight to four.
