Little Collins

The long narrow room at Little Collins with letter board menus on the wall, a walnut bar with pour over stations, bare bulb lights and metal stools

Little Collins brings Melbourne cafe culture to Midtown East, an all day room with a pour over program, guest roasters and a kitchen that runs from early breakfast to evening drinks. The founders fell in love with New York and set out to blend its energy and diversity with a slightly cheeky Aussie sensibility, and they say every detail is considered, from the menu and playlist to the cups and staff uniforms.

The menu names Counter Culture Coffee and Onyx Coffee Lab on pour over and batch brew, and breakfast runs from pancakes to shakshuka. A dapper little mug called Little Collin serves as the shop's mascot. The cafe has been running for a decade and counting, opening at seven on weekdays and closing at six in the evening, with a shorter Monday.
