Everyman Espresso East Village

Everyman Espresso is a tiny counter tucked into the lobby of the Classic Stage Company on East 13th Street, serving direct trade coffee to theater goers, neighbors and passersby. Coffee has been poured in this lobby since the mid 2000s, and the Everyman name has been over the counter since 2007. Large windows and simple seating keep the small room bright and unfussy, the service is quick, and plenty of people take their cup straight back out onto the street.
The coffee comes from Black and White Coffee Roasters in North Carolina, and the shop's own site leads with the promise of damn fine coffee. It keeps long hours for a small space, opening at seven thirty on weekdays and eight at the weekend.
