Le Country Store

Interior counter of a coffee shop with a hand drawn chalkboard menu and West Coast map mural, a pastry display case with scones and banana bread in front, and blue tiled walls

Le Country Store opened in 2018 as Nice's first dedicated specialty coffee shop, after its founder returned from years in California and missed the espresso culture he had gotten used to there. The counter runs a rotating list of single origin coffees through cappuccino, flat white, and filter, alongside a genuinely large gluten free and vegan menu that includes paleo banana bread and a chocolate chip cookie regulars keep coming back for.

It's a family operation, a father and son who know most regulars by name, and the room fills with locals working through laptops and oat milk lattes most mornings. A second, larger location near the Carré d'Or adds soup and smoothies to the same coffee list for anyone who wants more room to sit.
