La Claque Café

Storefront of a small coffee shop on a narrow old town street, with an illuminated interior visible through the window and a chalkboard sign reading Coffee shop and Café de spécialité out front

La Claque Café occupies a small storefront on Rue du Pont Vieux in the old town, where a chalkboard easel out front spells out the day's specialty coffee list. Emmanuel Bushiazzo started the brand as a nomadic espresso pop up around Paris in 2017 before opening this brick and mortar shop in 2023, and the multiroaster approach carried over: the drink menu rotates through a changing lineup of specialty beans rather than sticking to one house roast.

Flat whites and cortados come alongside pistachio brioche and banana bread, and the counter doubles as a small retail shelf for coffee gear and bags of beans for home brewing. The shop keeps identical hours every day of the week, opening at 8:30 and closing at 5:30 in the afternoon, with a couple of outdoor seats out front for people watching on the narrow street.
