Stay Golden

Jamie Cunningham, Sean Stewart and Nathanael Mehrens, the same team behind Steadfast Coffee, opened Stay Golden in 2018 around a founding golden rule philosophy for how customers, vendors and staff are treated. The shop roasted its own beans on site until 2021, when the roasting operation spun off into a separate company, Good Citizen, which still supplies the cafe's proprietary blends today.

After earlier rooms in Berry Hill and East Nashville's Edgefield both closed, Stay Golden relocated to this large Nations space, adding a shaded outdoor patio and combining a full coffee and espresso program with a full liquor bar and prosecco service. The room also functions as a live music venue, hosting regular songwriter rounds alongside the coffee counter.
