Ventimetriquadri

The narrow espresso bar at Ventimetriquadri, with the espresso machine, bagged beans and pour over gear lit by warm hanging bulbs

Vincenzo Fioretto opened Ventimetriquadri in 2017 after a trip to Ditta Artigianale in Florence convinced him Naples needed its own specialty counter. The name means twenty square meters, an honest description of a room barely bigger than its espresso machine, tucked into a quiet stretch of Vomero well away from the historic center's classic espresso bars.

Beans rotate between Ditta Artigianale and other specialty roasters from Italy and abroad, brewed as V60 pour over or pulled as espresso and served, unusually, in a wine glass so the aromas open up before the first sip. A small retail shelf sells bagged beans and V60 drippers alongside cappuccinos and flat whites for the sidewalk tables out front.
