Caffè Sansone Microtorrefazione Artigianale

A latte with leaf shaped art in a Caffè Sansone branded cup on the roastery counter, next to a pour over kettle and glass tubes of coffee beans

Vincenzo Sansone trained with the Specialty Coffee Association before converting his family's neighborhood bar on Corso Vittorio Emanuele into a working microroastery in 2012, one of the first in Naples. A one kilogram drum roaster sits in plain view of the thirty square meter room, turning green beans into the house blend and a weekly rotating single origin while customers wait for their order.

The house blend leans on Colombian, Indian, Ethiopian and Brazilian arabica cut with Ugandan robusta, while the single origins are light roasted arabicas scored above eighty points and prepared through French press, Chemex, AeroPress or V60 alongside espresso. Beans are sold by the bag for anyone who wants to keep brewing at home, and the terrace tables outside fill up fast on weekend mornings.
