Ora Cafe

Ora opened recently in Westlands with a fully halal menu and a Japandi minded room, pared back and calm, built around natural materials rather than the deeper roastery credentials found elsewhere in the city. Brunch carries as much weight as the coffee itself, a pistachio croissant and avocado toast on the menu alongside an iced matcha regulars reach for just as often as espresso.

Outdoor seating under a large umbrella looks out from Delta Chambers on Waiyaki Way, calm enough to work from for an hour and lively enough for a proper weekend brunch. Less about the beans specifically and more about a well designed room that happens to serve very good coffee alongside everything else.
