Hikuri Coffee

The lounge seating at Hikuri Coffee, mud cloth pillows on a white daybed and cane chairs around a live edge table

Hikuri opened in the ground floor of Lavington Corner Mall in 2025 as a genuine micro roastery, working directly with smallholder farmers rather than buying through importers. It shows in the technique behind the espresso itself, a 20 gram dose pulled to a 30 gram yield, built around ristretto based Americanos.

The room is small and intimate, warm wood against vintage touches, a Kodak Instamatic camera tucked in as decor, candles lit at every table including the patio, vinyl records turning on a Slayer equipped counter. Local photography rotates on the walls. It ranks above several more established names in the city on coffee quality alone, a serious claim for a shop this new.
