Trunk Coffee Bar

Trunk Coffee Bar is the home shop of Trunk, a Nagoya coffee company established in 2014 by Yasuo Suzuki, who worked as a barista in Denmark, and Kiyohito Tanaka, who travels to origin farms to study processing and roasting. The room is furnished entirely with vintage Scandinavian pieces, which gives it the feel of a small piece of the north dropped into Takaoka.

Specialty grade beans are roasted on site with a German Probat roaster, and the cafe pours them as espresso drinks and filter coffee. There are tables on a terrace out front, and the same beans are sold by the bag at the counter and through the online shop.
