PORT COFFEE

The inside of PORT COFFEE, a pale pine counter with a dark top and grinders and brewers behind it, a tall leafy plant in a concrete pot, pendant bulbs and a grey bench seat under large windows

PORT COFFEE is a small coffee stand up a flight of stairs in Nagono, about ten minutes on foot from Nagoya Station. The owner trains with a barista champion and works through single origin lots from Colombia and Ethiopia, including a natural Geisha and yeast fermented washed coffees, alongside the house PORT Blend.

The style is gentle, with roast and extraction chosen to keep bitterness low and let sweetness and aroma lead, so the cups suit people who are new to specialty coffee as well as regulars. Handmade sweets are served too, and beans can be bought to take home.
