Alrighty Coffee

The wooden counter at Alrighty Coffee, retail bags on shelving and a green espresso machine behind the pastry case

Founded in 2022 by three coffee and drinks industry veterans, Volker Meyer-Lücke and Daniel Rizzotti both formerly of Alois Dallmayr, and Sebastian Kroth after more than a decade at Coca Cola, Alrighty opened this Werksviertel roastery and cafe in January 2024 across more than 500 square meters. Bayern Munich goalkeeper Manuel Neuer is a shareholder, and has said the roastery gives him a fixed place in the city for his favorite espresso.

The house sourcing model, which they call Caretrade, focuses on farmers overlooked by the rest of the trade: young growers, women, and African producers, partly through a reforestation partnership in Ethiopia with the aid organization Menschen für Menschen. Coffee is roasted on site using 100 percent green electricity, sold both by the cup and in retail bags found as far afield as BMW Welt and the Bavarian State Opera. The room sits inside Munich's Werksviertel creative quarter, the roaster and its grinders visible from the counter.
