Le Brûloir

Le Brûloir has been roasting out of Ahuntsic since 2011, run by Vincent D'Aoust, a former biologist who moved into coffee and built the shop around single origin lots from small farms in Kenya, Ethiopia, and Central America. The cafe on Rue Fleury Ouest sits a short walk from the roastery itself, and the two locations share the same rotating lineup of beans.
Beyond coffee, the kitchen serves soups, salads, and sandwiches through the day, enough that it functions as a lunch stop as much as a coffee break for the residential streets around it. In the evening the room shifts toward its buvette side, with a short list of natural wine and snacks alongside the espresso menu. Beans are sold by the bag in the cafe and online, and the roastery hosts cupping sessions for anyone who wants to taste through a lineup before buying.
