Dispatch Coffee

Dispatch Coffee began as a coffee cart working the food truck circuit around Montréal in 2012 before settling into permanent cafes, and the Saint-Laurent location has become one of the brand's main hubs on the Plateau. The company roasts its own beans and publishes an annual transparency report detailing what it pays producers, a practice built around direct relationships with smallholder farms rather than buying through brokers.

Inside, the room is sunlit and open plan, with large windows that make it a popular daytime spot for people settling in with a laptop for a few hours. The espresso and filter menus rotate through seasonal single origin coffees alongside a standing house blend, and bags of beans are sold both in the shop and through an online subscription. Cold brew is on tap year round, a holdover from the brand's food truck days.
