Backstory Coffee North Loop

The North Loop bar opened in October 2022 as the second Backstory bar, set in the lobby of the Duffey Flats apartment building on Washington Avenue North. The bar itself is small, about 300 square feet, with a gold tree logo and a custom green housing around its La Marzocco KB90 espresso machine, and the lobby around it adds the room to sit.

The drinks match the original bar in St Paul, so the menu covers espresso drinks, batch brew, pour overs and cold brew, with pastries and grab and go food beside them. The room is set up as a coworking space and you can order ahead online. Doors are open from seven in the morning to four in the afternoon, seven days a week.
