Sami Peruvian Coffee

Sami is a Peruvian coffee corner on a quiet street between Lambrate and Città Studi, opened in September 2023 by Veronica Silva Alvarado. She left Peru at seventeen to study in Milan, later worked on food policy projects across Latin America, and began bringing in coffee that small farming communities sent her directly. The name means regenerating energy in Andean culture, and the room doubles as a meeting place for tastings and cultural evenings.

The coffee is grown on small, shade grown farms in the province of Jaén, with other lots from regions such as Vraem and Cajamarca, and the selection has included a 91 point Geisha. Filter coffee is brewed on a V60, the method Veronica says she knows best from home, while the espresso is a chocolatey 100 percent arabica. Weekdays start before eight and Sundays run to mid afternoon.
