Pave

Primarily a pastry lab that happens to run a serious coffee counter alongside it, Pave has been a fixture between Porta Venezia and Repubblica since 2012, spread across two floors that fill up fast on weekend mornings. The bakery case is the clearer draw of the two, baked goods sold to take home while the coffee program plays a supporting role to the pastry business rather than the other way around.

It doesn't roast its own beans, functioning instead as a cafe bakery hybrid rather than a specialty coffee destination in the narrower sense. Closed Mondays, with a long Tuesday to Friday run and a slightly shorter, later weekend schedule.
