Milan — Between Porta Venezia and Repubblica

Primarily a pastry lab that happens to run a serious coffee counter alongside it, Pave has been a fixture between Porta Venezia and Repubblica since 2012, spread across two floors that fill up fast on weekend mornings. The bakery case is the clearer draw of the two — baked goods are confirmed sold to take home, while retail coffee beans specifically aren't documented as part of the offering, suggesting the coffee program serves the pastry business rather than the reverse.

It doesn't roast its own beans, functioning instead as a cafe-bakery hybrid rather than a specialty-coffee destination in the narrower sense. Closed Mondays, with a long Tuesday-to-Friday run and a slightly shorter, later weekend schedule.
