Fatum Café

The FATUM wordmark etched on the window above outdoor tables, with wooden interior tables and large potted plants visible inside

Fatum brought a distinctly Moroccan accent to Milan's Solari district, opened by brothers Hamid and Hayeta Azzab together with partner Frazes Alvares. Hamid roasts the coffee himself, working entirely in single origin arabica rather than a house blend, and the brunch menu carries the same Arab influence through the room's bright, minimal design.

Shakshuka, a honeyed Sfoglia Araba, and spiced Patata Harra sit on a menu built around North African flavors rather than the standard Milanese cornetto, and regulars single out the flat white as some of the best pour in the city. Outdoor seating wrapped in greenery extends the room outward, and the cafe keeps a steady daily schedule, open morning into midafternoon seven days a week.
