Vice City Bean

Vice City Bean opened in Miami's Arts and Entertainment District just north of downtown, built around a deliberate curatorial choice rather than an in house roast, serving Madcap Coffee, a well regarded roaster out of Grand Rapids, Michigan. That decision to import a single outside roaster's program rather than build a local one has become part of the shop's identity in a city usually associated with its own roasteries.

The brand has since grown to three current Miami locations, this Edgewater flagship, a Brickell room and a counter inside The Citadel food hall in Little River, with a fourth under construction in North Miami. The growth suggests a genuinely working formula rather than a one off cafe, even as the Edgewater original remains the anchor address.
