Surry Hills Coffee

Francisco Vessena Calahorrano built the Surry Hills concept in Buenos Aires in spring 2019, taking the name from the Surry Hills neighborhood of Sydney, Australia after time spent there shaped his sense of what a cafe could be. The idea traveled to Palma de Mallorca, Spain in 2021 before landing in Miami's Little River in 2023 as its first United States address.

The brand has picked up a spot on a World's 100 Best Coffee Shops list along the way, recognition for a concept that has now crossed three continents without losing the neighborhood cafe feel it started with. Outdoor seating extends the Little River room onto NE 2nd Avenue, keeping the pace unhurried in a part of Miami still filling in around it.
