Panther Coffee

Leticia and Joel Pollock met at a coffee trade convention and identified Miami's untapped specialty coffee potential during a 2008 visit, founding Panther in Wynwood in 2010. The shop is widely credited as the room that started Miami's third wave movement, small batch roasting and direct producer relationships arriving here well before most of the city had a name for either.
Sustainability work runs well past the counter, rainwater tank installations, mosquito repellent crop planting in Uganda, and infrastructure support for the Cafe Cocano cooperative and a women led burlap repurposing group in Haiti. The roastery has picked up a genuine run of recognition since, a spot on the World's 100 Best Coffee Shops list, Monocle's global top ten, and Good Food Awards among the honors.
