Tone Coffee Prahran

Tone Coffee Roasters grew out of one barista's journey from Seoul to Melbourne, and the High Street cafe in Prahran is a light filled room of warm timber, glass and comfortable seating, with an outdoor area where customers can sit with a pet. The founder won both the Australian and World Latte Art Championships in 2015, and a Q Grader and Coffee Value Assessment cupper guides how the coffee is roasted and judged.

The signature order is the Tiger Bomb, an espresso with milk and silky cream finished with fresh orange zest, served alongside classic espresso drinks and single origins that change as the roasters experiment with new techniques. The cafe opens daily, from half past seven on weekdays to nine on Sunday mornings, and the space is set up for working as well as meeting friends.
