Rumble Coffee Roasters

Rumble began in 2014 when Matt and Joe set out to roast the best coffee Melbourne has to offer while paying farmers fairly, and the Kensington roastery is now a certified B Corporation that publishes what it pays for every coffee through its Transparency Project. The espresso bar on Macaulay Road, a short walk from the roastery, is where that work meets the neighbourhood, pulling shots from a custom navy La Marzocco KB90.

The menu covers the Shadow Boxer and Street Fighter blends for milk drinks, with rotating single origins on espresso, batch brew and pour over, plus a cold brew butterscotch drink and a cascara spritz. A small selection of pastries comes from Double Dutch Bakery nearby, dogs are welcome, and retail bags are sold across the counter.
