Disciple Roasters

Disciple is the roasting project of Marwin Shaw, the founder behind Monk Bodhi Dharma, and its tiny warehouse on a backstreet off Sydney Road works like a coffee cellar door. The bar pours a rotating selection of around fifteen black coffees from seasonal blends and single origins, so each cup can be tasted for what the bean and the roast bring to it.

The approach is that coffee is at its best straight from the cherry, so the roasting, brewing and packaging aim to tamper with it as little as possible, with direct relationships with farmers behind each coffee. Retail bags, brewing equipment and handmade ceramic mugs are for sale, and the cellar door is open every day of the week.
