Urbania Café Calle 8

Urbania Café Calle 8 is the pocket sized corner of the Urbania family near Parque El Poblado, with pale green tiles, a wooden bar and a few tables spilling onto the pavement beneath the leaves of a street plant. It is a calm, mellow stop in a busy neighborhood, set up for a slow filter or an espresso and a conversation.
Urbania began as a specialty coffee shop and then bought its own roasting machines to reach growers directly, including producers around Granada in Antioquia. Its coffee comes from small growers in Antioquia and Tolima, among them farming families recovering from the armed conflict and communities moving away from illicit crops, who are paid well above market rates. The company has been a certified B Corp since 2022, and part of its mission is conserving the forests where jaguars, pumas and Andean bears still roam.
