Pergamino Café Laureles

The courtyard garden at Pergamino Café Laureles, with the Pergamino coffee tree mural on a white brick wall, a tiled fountain and green café chairs

Pergamino Café Laureles lives in one of the neighborhood's own houses, restored so that its Art Deco facade and mid century character stay intact. Inside, wood walls and soft mint green chairs give way to a leafy courtyard with a tiled water feature and the Pergamino coffee tree mural, a calm garden in the middle of Estadio. The ground floor is the social room, and an upstairs level with tables and sockets suits anyone settling in to work.

Pergamino grew out of the Echavarría family's coffee farms in Antioquia, and Pedro Echavarría opened the first Pergamino specialty cafe in 2012. Today the company buys from the family's own farms and from more than 600 smallholder producers across Antioquia, Cauca and Nariño, so the coffee on the bar can be traced back to where it was grown and served fresh.
