La Brûlerie MÖKA

A La Marzocco espresso machine and grinder on a wooden bar top, with bags of house roasted beans and a display case of pastries on the shelf behind

Iris Michalon and Fewzi Raffed run La Brûlerie MÖKA out of the Camas district in the fifth arrondissement, roasting on site with a stated goal of building a fairer, more traceable coffee supply chain. A second space on Boulevard Chave opened in 2023 for training and roasting by appointment, but the Boulevard Eugène Pierre address is where the daily counter service happens.

Cerrado from Brazil, Kaffa from Ethiopia and Del Micay from Colombia have all moved through the roaster, served as espresso or through a choice of pour over methods. Breakfast leans on tartines from the Pain Pan bakery topped with butter, marmalade or house granola, and the lattes come in more than the usual flavors, turmeric, chai, beetroot and even charcoal versions sit alongside the classic, all made with milk from La Laiterie Marseillaise.
