Deep Coffee Roasters

Deep opened in the Opéra quarter a few streets from the Vieux Port around 2021, one of the first roasteries to bring a full specialty program to France's second largest city. The team rebuilt an old newspaper kiosk on Rue Glandevès into a small roasting and pour over counter, keeping the footprint tight enough that most people take their cup and sit on the quiet street outside rather than inside.
Beans move through in small rotating batches, Brazil, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Myanmar and Ethiopia have all passed through the roaster on site, with flat whites and chai lattes on the drinks list. Gluten free pastries sit alongside the usual croissants, and beans are available to buy by the bag or through online ordering for pickup or delivery.
