Fort Coffee

Fort began as a pop up on Deansgate in 2023 and grew into a favourite independent coffee shop for the city centre, an airy, minimalist room of whitewashed walls, a deep blue grey feature wall and pale natural wood. Founded by coffee enthusiasts for coffee enthusiasts, it brews on a Slayer espresso machine and treats every step of the process with care.

The team remineralises its water, checks extraction with a refractometer and talks guests through espresso blends, single origins and pour overs, so every cup lands where you hoped it would. Seasonal brunch and sweet bakes sit alongside the coffee for a longer stop.
