Ezra & Gil

Ezra & Gil takes its name from the Hebrew words for helper and happiness, opening on Hilton Street in the Northern Quarter in 2014 with an idea of what a neighborhood coffee hangout could be beyond the standard cafe format. The concept has grown since, a second location on Peter Street opened in 2021 and a third in Liverpool followed in 2024, though Hilton Street remains the original.

A wide vegan menu runs alongside the coffee, brunch dishes and provisions built around the same all day approach that's made the shop a fixture well past the morning rush, open into the evening on weekdays. The long hours and steady crowd have kept it one of the busier corners of the Northern Quarter more than a decade after it first opened.
