La Hacienda Microtostador

La Hacienda roasts a new batch every week out of a small storefront on Calle Esperanto, close to the Guadalmedina on the edge of La Trinidad, and the room stays true to its name, tight enough that most people pass through for a cup or a bag rather than settle in. The beans are 100 percent Arabica, single origin, sourced from Brazil, Colombia, and Ethiopia along with a decaffeinated Mexican option, and the label skips vague terms like natural roast in favor of stating exactly what is in the bag.
Barista Aurelio has become something of a fixture behind the counter, known throughout the neighborhood for both the coffee and the company. Alongside cups made to order, the shop sells its own beans, ground coffee, and capsules to takeaway customers building a home setup, and it holds SCA recognition for its roasting standards.
