The Fix Coffee Roasters

The Fix's marble counter with bagged house roasted coffee on the wall shelf, black pendant lamps and the espresso machine

Two coffee lovers opened The Fix in 2018 near Templo de Debod and Plaza de España, pairing their own roastery with the all day breakfast and brunch they had always wanted to eat. The beans are roasted in house and served as espresso drinks, batch brew and a changing filter menu, while bags of that same coffee line the counter for taking home. The Fix also supplies other cafes through a wholesale program.

The room spreads over two floors, with a handful of tables at street level and a quieter basement that suits weekday work. Freshly baked cakes sit beside plates of avocado toast, a full breakfast and a burger on the food side, so a quick flat white and a proper sit down meal both work here. There is no terrace, which keeps the focus on the counter and the roaster.
