Ruda Café

Ruda Café is a small, brick walled coffee room on the quiet street behind El Rastro, one of the first specialty counters in La Latina. Espresso is 100% arabica from changing origins, ground to order, and every week a new coffee goes on for V60, AeroPress or batch brew. The beans on the shelves and in the online shop come with their farm, variety, process and tasting notes, from a red honey Colombian to a washed Rwandan red bourbon.
Tea gets as much love as coffee here, with sencha, pu erh, oolong and white teas on the menu next to chai and matcha lattes. The cakes are homemade, from lemon tea cookies to a carrot cake and banana bread that are both vegan, plus a wheat free violet cake. It stays open from early morning to 8 in the evening every day, which makes it a handy refuge when the market crowds thin out.
