Masamune Coffee

Masamune Coffee is the project of Zhen Xuan He Liu, who came to specialty coffee after years in hospitality, food distribution and online retail. The idea took shape during the pandemic, and he set it on Calle de la Palma because Malasaña mixes so many kinds of people, which has made the café a meeting point for coffee lovers across Madrid.

It is a specialty multi roaster, so the beans on the bar rotate between guest roasters through the season rather than staying with one house roast, brewed by baristas as espresso, batch brew or pour over. The room is compact but set up for sitting, with a modern look. The kitchen turns out homemade brunch, and ceremonial grade matcha from Japan sits beside the coffee list.
