Kissaten Place

Kissaten Place opened in December 2022 on Calle Menorca, a short walk from Retiro Park, and the barista behind the bar is Luis Ángel, who competes in latte art at national level. Service matters as much as the cup here. He holds that the best coffee in the world falls flat without warmth at the counter, and it shows in how each drink is made and handed over.

The name nods to the Japanese kissaten, the small coffee room. Espresso and filter coffee come with iced drinks and flavored matcha, served to a crowd that arrives mostly by word of mouth, from neighbors to travelers from Latin America and Portugal. It sits two minutes from Ibiza metro station. Latte art is the centerpiece of the bar.
