Ambu Coffee

Ambu Coffee opened its first café on Calle del Pez in October 2021 and has since grown to three in central Madrid, guided by closeness to its customers, respect for every product and care from seed to cup. The Pez café sits in Malasaña and works as the front door to the wider Ambu project, which also includes a barista school, workshops, events and a partnership with La Marzocco machines.

Instead of tying itself to a single roaster, the bar rotates coffees from different specialty roasters, with names such as Poma and Datura turning up, and the Nubra roastery is linked to the Ambu team. Cuppings and takeovers with guest baristas are part of the calendar, and the courses in espresso, filter and sensory skills are open to hobbyists and future professionals alike.
