Joost and Maartje have run this Jekerkwartier stop since around 2010, close enough to the university library that it built its regulars out of students and locals looking for a relaxed spot to work rather than a quick stand up espresso. The beans are roasted locally in Maastricht, and everything on the food side, cakes and lunch dishes alike, is made in house rather than bought in.

A flat white paired with a brownie is the order most people default to, and the room draws a genuinely loyal following, the kind of neighborhood cafe locals return to on habit rather than novelty.
