Alley Cat Bikes & Coffee

Renske Tackenberg and Ruud van Loo, both coming from healthcare careers, opened Alley Cat about fifty meters off the Markt in June 2015, pairing a specialty coffee counter with a working bicycle shop. Guest roasters Manhattan Coffee Roasters from Rotterdam and Amsterdam's Rum Baba rotate through the grinder, and the shop's own webshop sells Comandante grinders, Aeropress and Hario V60 gear alongside a single origin subscription box.

Two house beans, roasted under the Alley Cat name, sit alongside the guest roasts for anyone who wants something specifically their own, a small in house line on top of the two respected outside roasters. Ten years into the business, it remains one of the longer running specialty spots in Maastricht's old town.
