Slake

Founder Robin Perraud spent a year in New Zealand where mornings revolved around a flat white, and came home determined to bring that same specialty coffee culture back to Lyon when he opened Slake in 2015. A decade later, the shop still runs on a New Zealand influenced style, anchored by an upgraded La Marzocco Strada behind the bar.
Espresso drinks like piccolo and flat white share the menu with slow coffee brewed through V60, Chemex, AeroPress, or Kalita, served inside a room patterned in bold wallpaper and floor tiles with a collage of vintage photographs and fishbowl light fixtures holding LEGO minifigures. Fresh pastries and all day food round out one of Lyon's longest running specialty coffee bars.
