Mokxa

Mokxa has been synonymous with Lyon specialty coffee since 2011, growing into three cafes and a coffee school across the city. This Croix-Rousse location opened in 2021 on the walkable Rue Victor Fort, tucked away enough that only locals tend to find it on the first try.

A Modbar sits behind mint green, bean filled retail bags near the entrance, with the room stretching back into a hushed garden crowned by a paper star lantern. Black coffees, milky drinks, and coffee adjacent options like cascara and cold brew round out a menu built for lingering over a flat white rather than rushing through one.
