Menotti's Coffee Stop Venice

The Menotti's Coffee Stop window with its gold script sign and a longboard leaning by the door, looking onto the patio

Menotti's Coffee Stop on Windward Avenue in Venice Beach takes its name from Cesar Menotti, who ran the first speakeasy in 1920s Venice. It has been the neighborhood coffee stop since 2013, built around quality coffee, music and spaces rich in culture, and staff pick the vinyl records that play while you wait. A spacious outdoor patio looks onto a street that stays busy all day.

The V.S.E.B. espresso blend pairs Shakiso from the Guji region of southern Ethiopia with a Mexican lot called Jaguar, for a juicy, light bodied cup with a clean finish, and the Tokyo Blend leans toward fruit, chocolate and caramel. Signature drinks include a Vegan Spanish Latte, an Espresso and Tonic and a Venice Beach Cappuccino, and there is a secret menu for anyone who can find it. It opens daily from seven in the morning to six in the evening.
