Kumquat Coffee Highland Park

Kumquat opened on York Boulevard in Highland Park in November 2018 as a multi roaster coffee bar, built around a curated list of coffees from roasters and origins around the world, with tea and chocolate on the menu alongside. The team tests, analyzes and selects its favorite coffees from partner roasters abroad, including Fritz in Seoul, April in Copenhagen, The Barn in Berlin and Passenger in Pennsylvania, and the same selections fill the retail shelves.

A monthly coffee club subscription ships one of those picks to customers at home, and the shelves also carry ceremonial matcha, craft chocolate and brewing equipment, so the cafe doubles as a place to taste what the curation looks like. It opens daily from seven in the morning to five in the afternoon.
